Our Solstice celebrations were amazing!
Once again, Joe got me the greatest gifts ever (including a Dundie award!)! I felt bad because although a dreamcast is sweet, he didn't get the full surprise of it. He acted surprised for me, but that doesn't really count. haha. My parents' house was a little awkward with Natasha there, especially since I had a gift for Dan and Kat and Alex. Oh well. Dan makes his situations awkward on purpose. His fault. Joe's dad's house was so much fun too! The girls loved their R4 chips for the DS and Sarah is oh-so-cute. After all of the family stuff we had a bit of a get together at our house. A lot of work for that, but I didn't end up making dinner for everyone which eased a bit of stress. I still had a great time even if we didn't have any munchies.
Whoa 2008. You took us for a ride.

Oh man, work has been super stressful...
We got robbed.
I have to train so many people.
I have somehow been turned into the go-to teller for EVERYTHING. It's not that I mind training or being asked questions, but when the other tellers don't meet their goals then it gets turned back on me for not motivating them enough. I can't force others to sell credit cards. It's crazy. The bank sets these ridiculous goals for us to meet and for one reason or another I find myself carrying the bank through these goals. I need a god damn raise.
On top of all of this, Joe's mom isn't doing so well and I don't know how to deal with it. Her hospice workers think that she won't make it to Christmas. Joe doesn't want to talk about it at all.
Well, in good news, they found the robber, Joe is getting a dreamcast for Christmas, and my baby is turning 25 on Sunday.
I guess stress is all in growing up. Shit. I'm only getting older from here.

In other news, I'm thinking about moving up to a personal banking position at the bank. A couple of my managers have been pushing me into it, and up until this weekend, I wasn't sure if it was for me. I'm not sure how permanent I want the bank to be, but there's no harm in making more money while I'm deciding right?

Tonight is Joe's first night at his new job. Delta. 3rd shift. He left 20 minutes ago and I already miss him. I'm a little anxious about sleeping alone. The first time in a year and a half. I sound like a baby, but when you get used to someone next to you it's a little hard to adjust to their absence. I just have to keep reminding myself of the perks....free first class flights!!!
